Position Summary
We are seeking a licensed Immigration Attorney with at least 1–3 years of immigration law experience to join our Immigration Practice Group. This role is ideal for an attorney who wants real responsibility, strong support, and long-term growth.
You will manage cases with the support of trained intake staff and paralegals, allowing you to focus on legal strategy and advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle immigration matters from intake through resolution
- Prepare and file immigration petitions, motions, and legal briefs
- Represent clients before USCIS and Immigration Court (EOIR), where applicable
- Conduct client consultations and provide strategic legal guidance
- Collaborate with paralegals and staff using firm systems and SOPs
- Maintain accurate case notes and deadlines in the firm CRM
Practice Areas May Include
- Employment-Based Immigration (EB-2 NIW exposure a plus)
- Affirmative & Defensive Asylum
- Removal Defense (EOIR)
- Family-Based Immigration (I-130, I-485, consular processing)
- Naturalization (N-400)
- Waivers (I-601 / I-601A)
Qualifications
Required
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active U.S. law license in good standing
- Minimum 1–3 years of immigration law experience
- Strong legal writing and research skills
- Strong client communication skills
Preferred
- Removal defense and asylum experience
- Immigration Court (EOIR) appearances
- Experience with MyCase, Docketwise, or similar systems
- Multilingual (Spanish, Haitian Creole, Portuguese)
- Massachusetts bar admission
