Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 school in New Bedford, MA is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a contract position during the current school year (CSY). This role involves providing speech and language support services to students across the K-12 spectrum, helping to enhance their communication skills and academic success.
Qualifications:
- MA State licensure and State Educational Certification required
- Bachelors level degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Previous experience in school settings preferred, but not required
- Credentials such as SLP-CCC, SLP-Pediatrics, SLP-CFY, or SLPA-School are valuable
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Monitor and document student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student needs
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities as needed
