Job Requirements\n

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
  • \n

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • \n

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • \n

  • Recent pediatric experience within 2 years in an acute care facility required
  • \n

  • Pediatric certification preferred
  • \n

  • BSN preferred
  • \n

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • \n

  • Successful completion of a pharmacology exam
  • \n

Responsibilities\n

    \n
  • Deliver high-quality pediatric nursing care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • \n

  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses with accuracy and vigilance
  • \n

  • Document assessments, care plans, and discharge planning thoroughly and in a timely manner
  • \n

  • Communicate patient information clearly with the care team to support coordinated treatment
  • \n

  • Support and guide ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards
  • \n

  • Serve as a resource for patient care, staff orientation, and teaching when needed
  • \n

  • Demonstrate proficiency in charge nurse responsibilities and computerized nursing systems
  • \n

  • Follow safety, blood/body fluid, and infection control policies and procedures
  • \n

  • Maintain ongoing professional development and stay current on pediatric care practices
  • \n

  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the unit with professionalism and compassion
  • \n
