Job Requirements\n

- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Recent pediatric experience within 2 years in an acute care facility required
- Pediatric certification preferred
- BSN preferred
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Successful completion of a pharmacology exam

Responsibilities\n

- Deliver high-quality pediatric nursing care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses with accuracy and vigilance
- Document assessments, care plans, and discharge planning thoroughly and in a timely manner
- Communicate patient information clearly with the care team to support coordinated treatment
- Support and guide ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards
- Serve as a resource for patient care, staff orientation, and teaching when needed
- Demonstrate proficiency in charge nurse responsibilities and computerized nursing systems
- Follow safety, blood/body fluid, and infection control policies and procedures
- Maintain ongoing professional development and stay current on pediatric care practices
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the unit with professionalism and compassion
