Job DescriptionRole & Clinical Scope:
- Position Title: Travel / Temp Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU / Perioperative.
- Employment Type: Locum Tenens / Temporary Contract.
- Setting: Outpatient Surgery & Hospital Surgical Network (Will float and precept to affiliate surgery centers as needed).
- Clinical Scope: Requires high proficiency in Perioperative and PACU care. Must be capable of preparing both the surgical room and the patient for OR procedures.
- Required Clinical Skills: Experience with phase I and II recovery, procedural sedation, critical drips, telemetry interpretation, and multi-specialty surgical cases.
- Orientation: 8 Hours Non-Billable Orientation.
- Precept Pay: $3.00 / hr.
- Dress Code: Facility-provided scrubs.
Schedule & Hours:
- Shift Type: Days (5x8-Hour Shifts).
- Shift Times: 07:00 – 15:30 (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM).
- Weekly Commitment: 40-Hour Weekly Guarantee.
- Weekend Requirements: None.
- On-Call & Floating: On-call required for 8-hour day shifts as needed; floating/precepting to regional surgical sites required.
- Holiday Requirements: Required to work holidays if needed.
- Multipliers (OT & Holiday): 1.25x.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications:
- Clinical Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of OR and Pre-Op experience [REQUIRED].
- Phase I and Phase II PACU experience [REQUIRED].
- Multiple surgical specialty experience [REQUIRED].
- Education: BSN (Preferred).
- State Licensure: Active Permanent Massachusetts RN License [REQUIRED].
- Certifications: Active AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS certifications [REQUIRED].
