This summer role is ideal for an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) looking to make a meaningful impact as part of Extended School Year (ESY) programming. Your expertise will help students reach their potential by providing crucial makeup services over the summer.
Key Qualifications:
- Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist or COTA
- Recent experience delivering occupational therapy in a school setting
- Familiarity with IEP goals and documentation requirements
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Compassionate, student-focused approach
Role Overview:
- Provide occupational therapy services to students in ESY programs, focusing on makeup sessions
- Work 2-3 days per week, covering needs for both 4 and 6 week programs
- Support students with diverse abilities in achieving functional goals
- Maintain clear documentation and communicate progress with school staff
- Collaborate with educators, service providers, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Programs will begin June 29th and operate Monday through Thursday
- 4 week programs conclude July 23rd; 6 week programs end August 6th
