Role Description The Field Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Worcester, MA. This role involves traveling to customer locations to install, repair, and maintain locks, safes, and related security hardware, as well as troubleshooting mechanical and basic electronic issues. Day-to-day tasks include performing service calls, diagnosing problems, completing work orders, documenting service activities, and communicating clearly with customers about recommended solutions. The technician will manage tools and equipment, follow safety procedures, and ensure all work meets company standards and relevant regulations. Collaboration with office staff and other technicians to schedule jobs, order parts, and support efficient service delivery is also part of the role.

• Candidates should possess hands-on mechanical aptitude, basic understanding of locks and hardware, and the ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

• Candidates should possess strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to diagnose issues with locks, safes, and access systems and determine appropriate repair or replacement actions.

• Candidates should possess customer service and communication skills to explain work performed, discuss options, and represent the company professionally on-site.

• Candidates should possess a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to work on-site across the Worcester, MA area.

• Candidates should possess the ability to lift and move equipment as needed, work in various indoor and outdoor environments, and follow safety and security protocols.

• Previous experience in locksmithing, security hardware, field service, or a related trade is beneficial; relevant certifications or training in locksmithing or security systems are a plus.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical or vocational training in a mechanical or electrical field is advantageous.
