Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to cover a leave of absence at an elementary school in Amherst, MA. The role supports students from kindergarten through 4th grade and requires someone who is credentialed and experienced in school-based SLP services, ideally holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).

Location: Elementary School in Amherst, MA
Job Type: Leave of Absence Contract
Duration: ASAP through February 13, 2026
Hours: 17 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language services to students through small groups, one-on-one sessions, and inclusion classrooms
  • Conduct evaluations for IEP eligibility, develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and participate in IEP meetings
  • Write measurable goals aligned with student needs and monitor progress consistently
  • Document services provided and student growth for compliance and communication purposes

Desired Qualifications:

  • Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with school-based experience
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
  • Familiarity with special education guidelines and IEP processes
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with educators, families, and school staff
  • Completion of district onboarding requirements prior to start
