A specialized nursing opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with expertise in psychiatric care within an LGBTQ+ unit, emphasizing compassionate and skilled support for diverse patient needs. Contract Details:
- Must be available to start on February 2nd, no exceptions
- Contract position with specific blackout dates for time off requests: 2/232/27, 3/263/20, and 4/275/8
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess and meet individual and group patient care needs
- Apply the nursing process for patients requiring complex psychiatric care and co-occurring disorder interventions
- Provide clinical supervision to Mental Health Workers (MHWs) to ensure safe, effective, and therapeutic care
- Support a 24-hour inpatient program aimed at drug and alcohol withdrawal management, stabilization, and education to promote long-term recovery and sobriety maintenance
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Current RN license with psychiatric nursing experience
- Demonstrated comfort and expertise in working within an LGBTQ+ clinical setting
- Experience managing co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders
- Strong collaboration and supervisory skills for clinical team oversight
