A specialized nursing opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with expertise in psychiatric care within an LGBTQ+ unit, emphasizing compassionate and skilled support for diverse patient needs. This role requires a professional comfortable working in an environment dedicated to co-occurring disorders, including mental health diagnoses and substance use challenges.

Contract Details:

  • Must be available to start on February 2nd, no exceptions
  • Contract position with specific blackout dates for time off requests: 2/232/27, 3/263/20, and 4/275/8

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess and meet individual and group patient care needs
  • Apply the nursing process for patients requiring complex psychiatric care and co-occurring disorder interventions
  • Provide clinical supervision to Mental Health Workers (MHWs) to ensure safe, effective, and therapeutic care
  • Support a 24-hour inpatient program aimed at drug and alcohol withdrawal management, stabilization, and education to promote long-term recovery and sobriety maintenance

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Current RN license with psychiatric nursing experience
  • Demonstrated comfort and expertise in working within an LGBTQ+ clinical setting
  • Experience managing co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders
  • Strong collaboration and supervisory skills for clinical team oversight
