Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Seeking a Special Education Teacher to support diverse learners in a school setting located in Middlebury, VT. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing tailored instruction and support to students with special needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students with diverse learning abilities
- Strong knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) and special education laws
- Ability to create and implement engaging lesson plans
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and staff
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and adapt individualized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, maintaining accurate records
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth
