Day to Day:

An Insight Global client in the MA/RI areas is looking for a Fire Alarm Technician to join their team. The client is a full-service fire and life safety services platform. They offer a complete suite of solutions, from the design, engineering, installation, and servicing of state-of-the-art fire and life safety systems to training, consulting, crisis management and business continuity services. The Fire Alarm Technician is primarily responsible for testing, inspecting and servicing fire alarm systems.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Service and test fire alarm and life safety systems.
  • Perform scheduled or routine preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment and systems.
  • Inspect, adjust, clean and calibrate, ensuring systems are in excellent working order.
  • Complete within assigned hours in a manner that reduces emergency calls and results in achieving zero callbacks.
  • Work assignments are to be performed in a safe manner and within specified cost limits.

Must Haves:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience as licensed fire alarm technician in MA or RI. MUST have 1 of 2 licenses (listed in order of preference):
    • MA D License
    • RI License – also known as a contractors license or a BF license
  • Previous experience testing and inspecting fire alarms and creating the deficiencies report, resolving deficiencies, or programming fire alarms
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, follow directions and meet deadlines.
  • All applicants will undergo a comprehensive background check.
  • Must be flexible with working hours and be willing to be part of an on-call rotation.
  • Report to assigned job site location on time, as directed.
  • Maintain and properly store tools, materials, and equipment.


Compensation:

$30/hr-$50/hr


Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
