Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand patients' backgrounds and develop tailored treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during individual and group therapy sessions.

• Facilitate sessions focused on helping patients process their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and engage in activities that promote holistic healing.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate integrated care strategies for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating calm and composed decision-making in high-stress situations.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms, providing them with the tools and resources needed for continued recovery.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with all legal and ethical standards, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing trauma-related disorders, who often face challenges related to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role will involve understanding the unique needs and experiences of these individuals, tailoring interventions to support their healing and personal growth. The focus on a trauma-informed approach is essential for fostering trust and ensuring effective therapeutic outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
