Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.

  • Hospital-based Emergency Department open 24/7, 365 days a year, serving approximately 14,000 patient visits annually
  • \n

  • 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a 36-hour guarantee per week
  • \n

  • Every other weekend required
  • \n

  • Holiday coverage required if scheduled/needed
  • \n

  • On-call requirements to be determined
  • \n

Requirements\n

    \n
  • Active VT RN license or Compact required
  • \n

  • Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • \n

  • Current TNCC certification required
  • \n

  • Minimum 2 years of current ED experience in a hospital setting required
  • \n

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • \n

  • Minimum 3 months of travel nursing experience preferred
  • \n

  • ED-specific skills checklist current within 1 year required for consideration
  • \n

  • One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required for consideration
  • \n

  • Must have personal vehicle
  • \n

Additional Information\n

    \n
  • Responsible for screening patients upon arrival to determine severity and appropriate course of treatment
  • \n

  • Must work two designated holiday blocks if scheduled or needed, covering Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's periods along with the following weekends
  • \n

  • No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted and must be submitted at the time of profile submission; requests made after offer or during interview will not be approved
  • \n

  • Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
  • \n

  • Block scheduling and 48-hour guarantee are not available for this assignment
  • \n
