This opportunity is designed for individuals with experience supporting K-12 students in an educational setting. The role focuses on assisting classroom teachers and helping students access learning materials effectively. It is a contract position for the current school year, located in Boston, MA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional support to students under the guidance of classroom teachers
- Assist with classroom management and promote a positive learning environment
- Support students with diverse learning needs, including those requiring individualized assistance
- Help prepare instructional materials and organize classroom activities
- Monitor and record student progress, reporting observations to teachers
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and families as needed
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a paraprofessional or similar educational support role preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with educators and students
- Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for supporting student growth and success
- Comfort working within a diverse K-12 school environment
- Basic knowledge of educational practices and special education strategies is an asset
