Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Support orthopedic surgical procedures in a specialized surgical center dedicated to advanced musculoskeletal care. This contract role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology including the MAKO Robot, delivering care in a dynamic and focused operating room environment.

Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire
This position is based in a well-equipped orthopedic surgery center located at 1900 Lafayette Road, Building 2. Portsmouth is a vibrant coastal city known for its rich history, scenic waterfront, and thriving arts community. The area provides an excellent quality of life with access to outdoor activities, cultural attractions, and a welcoming community.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Thursday
  • 06:45 AM to 5:15 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in orthopedic surgical procedures with an emphasis on total joint replacements, sports medicine, and hand and foot surgeries
  • Operate and maintain surgical equipment including the MAKO robotic system
  • Adhere to established protocols while performing surgical support tasks
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance when documenting procedures with a paper-based system
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and surgical technologists to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist required
  • Advanced expertise in total joint replacements and MAKO robot-assisted surgeries
  • Experience with sports medicine and orthopedic surgeries involving hands and feet
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented surgical setting
