What You'll Do

As an Automotive Detailer, you'll be responsible for cleaning, inspecting, and preparing customer vehicles before delivery. You'll help ensure every vehicle meets our quality standards and leaves the shop looking its best.

Your responsibilities include:

• Clean, detail, and prepare customer vehicles for delivery following company quality standards.
• Wash, buff, wax, and polish vehicle exteriors to restore and enhance appearance.
• Polish fresh paintwork and remove minor imperfections to achieve a high-quality finish.
• Remove overspray, compound residue, and other contaminants from vehicle surfaces.
• Vacuum, steam clean, deodorize, sanitize, and dust vehicle interiors.
• Clean body shop residue from interior surfaces, carpets, and floor mats.
• Detail vehicle undercarriages and wheel wells to ensure a complete, showroom-quality presentation.
• Remove light scratches and blemishes from painted surfaces when appropriate.
• Perform final quality inspections to identify cosmetic defects or cleanliness issues before vehicle delivery.
• Notify management of any damage, defects, or concerns identified during the detailing process.
• Maintain detailing equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Follow all company safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Work collaboratively with technicians, painters, and production staff to meet delivery timelines.
• Move vehicles safely in and out of the shop for detailing and assist with relocating vehicles throughout the lot as needed to support efficient shop operations.
• Consistently provide a level of workmanship that exceeds customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Previous automotive detailing experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Automotive interest and a desire to build a career within the collision repair industry.

 

Physical Requirements:        

• Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel and pull
• Extended periods of kneeling, bending, squatting, and stooping to complete or inspect repairs
• Carry and lift heavy objects (up to 80lbs)
• Manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate equipment
• Performing repetitive motions
