Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students’ growth this summer. This opportunity focuses on providing essential occupational therapy services during a four-week Extended School Year session. You’ll make a significant impact by helping students with disabilities meet their Individualized Education Program goals through targeted interventions and collaborative practices.

Work in a focused setting from July 6 to July 31, Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 12 pm, allowing for a balanced summer schedule with your afternoons free. Your expertise will be valued as you support dedicated educators and families in nurturing student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services according to IEP requirements.
  • Employ evidence-based techniques to promote fine motor development, sensory integration, self-care skills, and participation in school routines.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including session notes and compliance logs.
  • Work closely with special education staff, other related service providers, and families to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Adapt instructional materials and activities for diverse student needs in both school and community environments.

Qualifications:

  • Current, valid occupational therapy state licensure.
  • Prior experience in school-based occupational therapy (required).
  • Understanding of IDEA and the IEP development and service delivery process.
  • Ability to collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to supporting students’ progress in a meaningful way.
