Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Monday – Friday | 40 Hours/Week | Occasional Holidays

Pay Rate: $70 – $76/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oncology RN to provide comprehensive nursing care, patient education, and support for patients receiving curative and palliative oncology treatment.

Required Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

• BLS Certification.

• Successful completion of CCH Pharmacology exam.

• BSN.

• Oncology nursing experience with curative and palliative treatment settings.

• Experience working with terminally ill patients and their families.

• Proficiency with computerized nursing/information systems.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.

• Assess and document patients' physical, psychological, and social needs.

• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.

• Coordinate patient information and care with the interdisciplinary team.

• Provide oncology education and counseling for curative and palliative treatment.

• Educate and orient nursing staff and other personnel.

• Maintain accurate patient records and discharge planning documentation.

• Serve as a charge nurse and resource for patient care as needed.

• Follow hospital policies, safety procedures, and blood/body-fluid precautions.

• Participate in quality improvement, staff meetings, training, and professional development.

• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards.
