St. Mary’s Parish General Maintenance
This position entails comprehensive responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the interior and exterior spaces at St. Mary’s Church and Rectory, St. Joseph’s Church and B&B, Cemetery garage and St. Mary of the Lakes Church. Duties include shoveling, and salting walkways and entryways at the rectory, churches, and B&B. During the summer months, responsibilities will also include mowing and weed whacking at these properties and on the school grounds.
This position will provide minor repairs at all sites and includes meeting with outside inspectors for yearly inspections including building, hood, fire, etc.
Working hours align with Mass schedules and special events, such as weddings, funerals, and baptisms. As responsibilities may shift based on seasonal needs, adaptability is essential. Furthermore, support to the school will be provided as necessary. Daily coordination will take place with the Parish Secretary.
Requirements for New Candidate
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Demonstrate sound decision-making abilities.
• Willingness to accept directions from Parish administration.
• Work collaboratively within a team, including volunteers and contractors.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality service.
• Availability for weekend duties when required by circumstances or weather.
• Initial 30-day performance review; eligible for benefits after 90 days.
• Commitment to monthly meetings and maintain open communication.
• Approximately a 35-hour work week.
