My client is hiring a Full Time Field Service Technician. This is a long-term need and an excellent position for someone that is good in troubleshooting mechanical issues and likes to travel. Only local candidates will be considered.
Overview: Field Service Technicians handle routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and are dispatched to repair equipment when needed. The role often involves travel to various customer sites. Strong communication skills are essential to work effectively with on-site staff.
Responsibilities:
This field service technician will test equipment using measuring devices, such as multi-meters and other devices to determine whether parts or assemblies are faulty. Using visual cues, computer software programs and diagnostic tools, technician will troubleshoot and solve issues. This person will also perform maintenance on machinery or install parts to maintain smooth operation of equipment.
Requirements:
· Must have a minimum of 1-3 years mechanical field experience
· High School or technical equivalent. Trade school or AS degree in mechanical engineering a plus
· Demonstrates professional and courteous communication with customers
· Knowledge of test equipment, including power supplies, meters, and oscilloscopes
· Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
· Must have US work authorization
· 50% Travel required
· US Passport or ability to obtain one
* This is a non-exempt hourly position with opportunity for overtime.
