Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This Occupational Therapist position offers an exciting opportunity to support students across grades K-12 in a school setting located in Merrimack, NH. The role is a contract position for the 26-27 school year, running from September 1 through June 15. It is designed for approximately 30 hours a week, spread over four days, with a schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The therapist will provide direct occupational therapy services to a diverse caseload, helping students develop, improve, and maintain skills essential for academic success and daily living. This role requires collaboration with educators, families, and other therapy professionals to create personalized treatment plans and facilitate positive educational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate student needs related to occupational therapy
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals
- Provide direct therapeutic interventions for K-12 students
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student progress
- Monitor and document student performance and therapy outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional expertise
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active New Hampshire state license in Occupational Therapy
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
