Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer
Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Schedule: Includes on-call duties and weekend shifts
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality cardiac ultrasound examinations and provide accurate diagnostic information to assist physicians in patient care. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform echocardiograms and other cardiac ultrasound procedures in accordance with established protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal image quality.
- Analyze and document findings, providing preliminary reports for physician review.
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to confidentiality standards.
- Participate in on-call rotations and weekend coverage as scheduled.
- Comply with all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Requirements:
- Degree or certificate from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited sonography program.
- Certification in cardiac ultrasound by ARDMS or CCI within 12 months of graduation.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-focused approach.
Compensation:
$36 - $50 per hour, based on experience (BOE).
