Early Childhood Educator Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The Early Childhood Educator is responsible for supporting the creation and assisting in the implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum for young children from birth to age five, as well as carrying out activities to help them learn and grow when leading a classroom or offering support to a fellow staff member. This role will also observe and document the progress of the children and provide support to the parents with Lead Teachers. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic and passionate about working with children.
Early Childhood Educator Duties and Responsibilities
- Willingness to learn to Plan and execute activities that contribute to the physical, intellectual, and social development of the children
- Observe and document the progress of the children and provide support to the parents
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for the children to learn and grow
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with the children, parents, and staff
- Participate in professional development activities and conferences
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations
Early Childhood Educator Requirements and Qualifications
- A Teacher Certificate through MA EEC
- Minimum of one year of experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting
- Knowledge and understanding of appropriate practices and techniques
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- First Aid and CPR certification required or are prepared to obtain them within 3 months of employment.
