Make a difference in the lives of elementary students while advancing your own career as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract opportunity is tailored for dedicated SLPs and SLP Clinical Fellows, offering the chance to support communication growth in a dynamic educational environment throughout the current and next school year. The assignment runs from immediate start through June 18, 2027, with a consistent weekly schedule of 34 hours.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid license in Speech and Hearing Disabilities (all levels) from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
- Current or eligibility for a license from the Massachusetts Board of Allied Health
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CCC-SLP), though highly motivated Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply
- Experience in school settings with elementary caseloads is desirable
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, positive learning environment for young students
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and deliver speech-language therapy tailored to elementary-aged students
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with other school professionals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and the special education team to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and progress toward IEP goals
- Encourage and teach communication strategies that help students succeed in the classroom
