Step into a meaningful opportunity supporting students as a school-based counselor on a contract basis. This role, situated near New London, NH, is available for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year and focuses on serving a small caseload with a dedicated weekly schedule.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Active New Hampshire Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) credential
- Prior experience working with students diagnosed with selective mutism
- Background providing counseling services in educational settings
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct counseling services to three enrolled students, ensuring individualized support and progress
- Allocate approximately 6 clinical hours per week, with one full-day (8 hours) on site to accommodate sessions, documentation, and meetings
- Conduct assessments, maintain thorough student records, and participate in student support meetings as needed
- Support the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) related to mental health needs
- Foster a supportive, confidential environment that encourages students’ growth and engagement
