Miller Transportation Group is immediately hiring a Body Shop Apprentice for our Miller Truck Leasing division in Worcester, MA. With over 100 years of experience and upwards of 8,000 trucks on the road, Miller currently operates 40 Diesel Maintenance shops throughout KY, MD, PA, NJ, NY, CT, MA, and NH. Requirements
You Will:
- Learn how the shop operates from top to bottom
- Organizing and ensuring a clean shop at all times
- Yard Management and Clean up
- Truck Cleaning and Detailing
- Learn to support full-body restoration and paint to trucks involved in collisions
- Learn frame work and eventually frame pulling
- Learn to perform fiber glass repairs
- Help to repairs trailers, side rails, side sheets on trailers and box trucks with guidance from more experienced Techs
- Help to repairs and replace floors, roof and roll-up doors when needed
- Learn basic electrical repair for lights
- Learn to operate and maintain tools and equipment in a safe manner
- Performs other shop maintenance duties as assigned
- Not afraid of heights
You Have:
- A desire to learn from experienced professionals
- A positive and coachable attitude with a can-do attitude
- Team oriented with personal ownership and accountability
- Some formal education in the space or some hands-on knowledge
- Ability to work Monday - Friday from 7:00 AM until 3:30 PM
