Position Purpose and Objective:

Temporary IT Support Technician will provide hands-on technical assistance to staff across multiple locations with minimal travel requirements. This role focuses on imaging computers, installing and removing software applications, and supporting end users with day-to-day IT needs. The position is contracted for a defined period, with potential extension based on business needs.

  1. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Image and deploy desktops, laptops, and peripherals using standardized company images and configuration tools
  • Install, configure, and uninstall software applications across Windows environment
  • Assist staff with basic technical issues, including but not limited to password resets, network connectivity, and printer troubleshooting
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of IT assets and validating asset management systems through project (Application and Manager)
  • Document completed work and escalate more complex technical problems to senior IT staff
  • Adhere to IT security policies and standard operating procedures

  1. Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • A+ or equivalent IT certification
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and cloud-based collaboration tools
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of hands-on IT support experience
  • Proficiency or basic understanding in imaging and deploying Windows (11)
  • Familiarity with software installation packages (MSI, INF) and deployment tools (e.g., USB, HDD swapping)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Work Conditions

  • Minimal travel to satellite offices
  • Primarily local travel within the region; mileage reimbursed per company policy
  • Contract term: 4–8 weeks (extension can be discussed)
  • Part-Time or Full-time hrs. worked, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with an hour lunch
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and motor vehicle report (MVR) screening.
