Pride Health is hiring a Sr. Medical Administrative Assistant for one of its clients in Massachusetts.

\n

This is a 6-month contract with possible extension, with competitive pay and benefits.

\n

\n

Location – Worcester, MA 01605

\n

Pay range - $20- $22 per hour on W2.

\n

Length of assignment – 6-month contract (possibility to extend)

\n

Shift / Schedule – Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (40 hours/week)

Job Summary

\n

The Sr. Medical Administrative Assistant supports a busy Thoracic Surgery practice by coordinating surgical scheduling, referrals, diagnostic testing, and provider workflows. This role requires strong organizational skills, medical terminology knowledge, and experience working in a fast-paced specialty medical or hospital setting.

Job Duties

\n

    \n
  • Schedule patient appointments, surgeries, and diagnostic tests.
  • \n

  • Coordinate referrals, insurance verification, and prior authorizations.
  • \n

  • Accurately enter and transcribe physician orders into the EHR.
  • \n

  • Ensure all required records, imaging, and test results are available before appointments.
  • \n

  • Answer and triage patient calls and coordinate communication with providers and outside facilities.
  • \n

  • Maintain accurate patient records and support daily clinic operations.
  • \n

Requirements

\n

    \n
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (vocational medical office training preferred).
  • \n

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office, hospital, or specialty practice.
  • \n

  • Experience with surgical or specialty scheduling required.
  • \n

  • Epic EHR experience strongly preferred.
  • \n

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare workflows.
  • \n

  • Strong communication, organizational, multitasking, and customer service skills.
  • \n

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • \n
