Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 public school district in Massachusetts is seeking qualified Special Education Teachers for full-time leave contract positions. These roles offer the opportunity to support students with moderate disabilities in both middle and high school settings.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Moderate Special Education Teaching License
- Experience working with secondary-level students (grades 6-12)
- Ability to develop individualized education programs (IEPs) and implement tailored instructional strategies

Position Details:
- Location: Public middle and high schools in Waltham, MA
- Waltham High School: 2 full-time positions, 9th-12th grade, hours 7:30 AM 2:10 PM, contract through June 2026
- McDevitt Middle School: 1 full-time position, 6th-8th grade, hours 7:50 AM 2:40 PM, contract through March 2026
- Positions are leave replacements lasting through the indicated contract end dates
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to meet individual student IEP goals
- Collaborate with general education staff, families, and other professionals to support student success
- Maintain accurate records and monitor student progress
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate students diverse needs
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
