Work Environment\n
This role will primarily be remote, allowing you to connect with clients in their home environments through virtual sessions as well as in our outpatient office setting. Our flexible approach to therapy sessions facilitates a comprehensive understanding of each client’s challenges, while our supportive team atmosphere ensures you never feel isolated in your work. You will participate in collaborative meetings with the Child Family Treatment Team and other specialists, sharing insights and strategies to enhance client care.
Key Responsibilities\n

- Conduct individual in-home treatment sessions, focusing on personalized therapeutic approaches that align with each child's needs.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions in our outpatient clinic, enabling peer interaction and support among clients.
- Implement strategies to reduce high-risk behaviors, such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression, by teaching essential skills like anger management, coping techniques, and social skills.
- Work directly with caregivers to enhance their decision-making abilities and address behavioral challenges within the home.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, ensuring coordinated care and effective treatment plans.
- Compile and submit comprehensive documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, in accordance with organizational timelines.
- Engage in regular team meetings to discuss client progress and make actionable recommendations for ongoing support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n
This position centers on providing therapeutic interventions to children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 who exhibit developmental and intellectual disabilities. We focus on fostering an inclusive environment that recognizes cultural and linguistic diversity, and are particularly looking for bilingual therapists who can communicate effectively in Spanish or Portuguese. The therapists will play a pivotal role in supporting these young individuals and their families, helping them navigate their unique challenges and improve their overall quality of life.
Qualifications\n

- A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field.
- A valid and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
- Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours of 4-7 pm, with additional flexibility on weekends being an added advantage.
- A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for client visits.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
The salary range for this position is competitive, starting at $80,000 and going up to $100,000 annually, reflecting the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate.
