Job Title: Pharmacist (Hospital/Clinical)Location: Hyannis, MA 02601Duration: 26 WeeksJob Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to support hospital pharmacy operations by preparing, dispensing, and managing medications in compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as organizational standards. The ideal candidate will ensure safe and effective medication use while providing clinical support to healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, dispense, and control medications in accordance with applicable laws and hospital policies
- Review medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, dosage, and compatibility
- Compound medications including IV admixtures, TPN, and other specialized products
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and record-keeping of pharmaceuticals
- Monitor and assign tasks to pharmacy support staff
- Provide drug information and clinical guidance to physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams
- Maintain medication inventory and supply across patient care units
- Support medication order entry and clinical services, including after-hours coverage as needed
- Stay current with pharmaceutical advancements and best practices
- Deliver high-quality service to patients, staff, and stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited pharmacy program
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacist License
- Ability to practice hospital pharmacy in accordance with current standards
- Experience with pharmacy systems and equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting
- Strong knowledge of medication safety, compounding, and clinical pharmacology
