Position Overview
Our large facilities management client is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to support facilities operations at a college campus. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of campus buildings and grounds to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Hours are 6:00am-2:30p or 6:30-3:00pm M-F with being on call on weekends every 18 weeks (every 4/5 months).
Required Skills & Experience
High school diploma or GED.
2+ years of maintenance experience in commercial, institutional, healthcare, educational, or industrial facilities.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience working on a college or university campus.
Certified Pool Operator License (CPO)
Trade certifications or vocational training.
Experience using CMMS or facility management software.
