Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity spanning the 2026-2027 academic year allows you to make a meaningful difference while advancing your skills as a Special Education Teacher. You’ll work closely with a manageable caseload of 10-16 students, contributing to a positive, growth-oriented environment and fostering the development of each learner.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid New Hampshire Teaching License required
  • Prior experience with mental health and behavioral self-contained programs preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEPs, data collection, and case management
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and administration
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Passion for creating supportive, inclusive learning environments

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs within a self-contained classroom setting
  • Effectively manage a caseload of 10-16 students, including evaluations, case management, report writing, and leading team meetings
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, ensuring compliance and student growth
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies to address behavioral and academic goals
  • Engage in regular communication with parents, caregivers, and related service professionals
  • Foster a safe, positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and emotional well-being
  • Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives as needed

This position offers consistent daytime hours from 7:30 AM to 2:20 PM, providing a predictable and manageable schedule with 32.5-35 hours per week.
