The contract runs from August 2026 through June 2027, offering regular Monday through Friday hours, with total weekly hours ranging from 32 to 37.5.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with high school students preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Effective communication and collaborative skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Passion for advocating for students with exceptionalities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Case manage and instruct a high school caseload, tailoring curriculum to individual education plans
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and school staff
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to ensure student success
- Maintain thorough and timely records of student progress and IEP documentation
- Participate in annual IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Support a safe, positive, and motivating classroom culture
