Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A specialized role is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support high school students in a unique educational setting focused on Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. This contract opportunity runs from August 27, 2026, to June 22, 2027, serving the Lower Pioneer Valley Educational Collaborative in Ludlow, Massachusetts.
Location:
- Ludlow, MA (assignment at a high school with the clients main office in West Springfield)
- Position involves overseeing and collaborating with an SLPA within the Compass High Program, which emphasizes personalized, supportive education to foster independence among students.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language pathology services aligned with state requirements.
- Supervise and collaborate with a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to meet the needs of high school students with ASD and related learning challenges.
- Work within a specialized program environment designed to promote skill-building outside of traditional classroom settings.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reporting in compliance with program and state standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist required.
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with high school students.
- Strong background in serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorders or similar learning differences.
- Ability to supervise and collaborate effectively with support staff.
Hours and Schedule:
- Approximately 32.5 hours per week.
- School-year contract for the 2026/2027 academic year.
