Job Title: Maintenance Technician / Handyman
Location: Gardner, Fitchburg, Leominster, MA
Schedule: 1st Shift | 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: $26–$28 per hour (based on experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician with strong handyman abilities to support daily maintenance needs across multiple properties/facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in light carpentry, basic electrical work, and general repair tasks. This role requires someone who is dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repair duties (interior and exterior).
- Complete light carpentry tasks such as drywall repair, trim work, door/frame adjustments, and basic structural fixes.
- Handle basic electrical tasks (e.g., replacing outlets/switches, troubleshooting minor issues, installing fixtures).
- Use personal tools and equipment to complete assigned work.
- Travel between job sites in the Gardner, Fitchburg, and Leominster areas.
- Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance needs.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and safety standards.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding project updates, materials needed, and any issues that arise.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, handyman, or similar role.
- Light carpentry and general repair skills required.
- Basic electrical knowledge preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation (own vehicle) and personal tools.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
