Responsibilities:
\n
- \n
- Knowledge of and experience in hands-on and integrated learning, as well as early childhood development.
- Be highly motivated, hard-working, collaborative, enthusiastic about working with young children, energetic and flexible; demonstrate a desire to learn; and show initiative.
- Have a strong pedagogical background and be invested in collaborating with colleagues and working closely with early elementary-aged students.
- Build a joyful and nurturing classroom community that sparks intellectual curiosity and growth for all students, and demonstrates clear and affirming classroom management.
- Collaborate with one’s grade level team to plan and teach an integrated, mission-aligned, early elementary program, including literacy, writing, math, science, social studies, and social emotional learning.
- Supervise children in the classroom, during recesses and dismissal, and on field trips.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's in Elementary Education or related degree required.
- Montessori certification for ages 6-9 or in training / willingness to undertake training.
- Massachusetts Educator License for Grades 1-3.
- Experience working in a Montessori classroom.
