We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support the Property Manager in all aspects of property operations. This role requires a strong understanding of property management principles, including work order processing, resident relations, and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will be proficient in RealPage Onesite, possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and be capable of multitasking effectively. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of our low-income housing tax credit and affordable properties.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Property Manager with all aspects of property operations, acting as a backup when needed.
- Manage and oversee property inspections, ensuring properties meet established standards.
- Handle resident inquiries and complaints, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues promptly.
- Assist with rent collections, including collections and invoicing, and manage delinquent accounts.
- Process recertifications for residents, ensuring compliance with program guidelines.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including accounting tasks and reporting.
- Assist with administrative functions, including answering phones, managing correspondence, and maintaining resident files.
- Utilize RealPage Onesite for various property management tasks, including data entry and reporting.
- Assist with project-based Section 8 administration and compliance.
- Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- General knowledge of property management principles and practices.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Thorough knowledge of administrative functions.
- Computer literacy is essential.
- Experience with low-income housing tax credit programs is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with RealPage Onesite software.
- 3-5 years of experience in property management conducting recertifications and providing clerical/administrative support
- Familiarity with project-based Section 8 regulations.
- Experience with collections and invoicing.
