Make a meaningful impact on K-12 students as a district-wide school psychologist, supporting multiple school communities for the upcoming academic year. This contract opportunity spans four buildings and runs from late August through mid-June, providing a consistent, rewarding role focused on student well-being and academic success.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Vermont School Psychologist Certificate (required)
- Experience in K-12 school counseling, psychological assessment, and intervention
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and administrators
- Strong understanding of IEP procedures and special education best practices
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive psychological services, including assessments, counseling, and crisis intervention across all grade levels
- Consult with educators and parents to design and implement interventions that promote positive student outcomes
- Collaborate with special education teams to develop educational and behavioral plans tailored to individual needs
- Participate in eligibility determinations, re-evaluations, and team meetings throughout the district
- Provide professional guidance and support to staff on mental health, trauma, and school-wide behavior reforms
