Make a meaningful difference in the school community as a dedicated paraprofessional supporting students’ academic and personal growth. This contract opportunity offers a rewarding role working in a nurturing educational environment near Keene, NH. You’ll work with a small group of students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) integrated into the general population, providing essential support for both learning and daily living needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a paraprofessional, PCA, or similar school-based support role
- Comfortable providing personal care, including toileting and hygiene assistance
- Ability to offer academic guidance and reinforcement under teacher direction
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility, patience, and a child-centered mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist students with academic tasks to support individualized instruction plans
- Provide personal care, including toileting and hygiene, with compassion and discretion
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to implement IEP goals
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment for all students
- Monitor student progress and share feedback with supervising educators
- Build trusting relationships to encourage student engagement and independence
Contract Details:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:40 AM to 3:33 PM
- Academic year position: August 26, 2026 – June 15, 2027
- Competitive hourly pay at $43.50, commensurate with expertise and impact
