**Join Our Dynamic Team as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room!** **Job Description:** **Essential Functions:** - Interact with everyone in a friendly, courteous, and respectful manner. - Go above and beyond to offer assistance; if unable, find someone who can. - Advocate for patient privacy and confidentiality. - Maintain a clean and safe hospital environment. - Respond promptly to emergency situations. - Ensure a safe and healthy atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff. - Comply with regulations to maintain accreditation and licensure. - Adhere to the Hospital Attendance and Tardiness Policy. - Complete all mandatory hospital and department requirements annually. - Report incidents in a timely and effective manner. - Engage actively in hand hygiene practices. **Patient Care Responsibilities:** - Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care interventions. - Deliver care based on established standards, protocols, and procedures. - Respect each patient as an individual, fostering dignity and self-regard. - Provide teaching for patients and families based on identified needs and barriers. - Collaboratively prepare patients and families for discharge using available resources. - Delegate and supervise nursing interventions effectively. **Documentation and Reporting:** - Provide thorough, timely, and accurate documentation of all patient data and interventions. - Offer comprehensive reports to healthcare team members for continuity of care. **Professional Development:** - Promote learning among colleagues and yourself through training and development. - Identify risks to patient safety and implement strategies to reduce errors. **Clinical Duties:** - Administer medications and IV therapy as per physician’s orders and protocols. - Assess and reassess patient pain levels and document responses accurately. - Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient well-being during procedures. - Maintain sterile fields and oversee the preparation of supplies and instruments. - Verify patient identity and confirm surgical procedures and sites. - Maintain accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts. - Handle specimens and cultures following established policies. **Job Requirements:** - Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. - Minimum Work Experience: O.R. nursing experience and CNOR strongly preferred. - Required Licenses: Current MA RN license. - Certifications: ACLS upon hire or active BLS card with AHA ACLS within 60 days of hire. **Required Skills:** - Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask. - A can-do attitude that embraces challenges. **Shift Information:** - 40-hour day, 4/10-hour days with call rotation. **Minimum Years of Experience:** - Less than 1 year. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
