Shift: Day Shift | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, or 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 Hours/Week | 8-Hour Shifts; 10-Hour Shifts May Be Considered | On-Call Rotation for Nights, Weekends & Holidays

Position Overview
We are seeking a Special Procedures Technologist I / Cath Lab Technologist to support invasive cardiovascular and interventional procedures while maintaining patient safety, image quality, radiation safety, and accurate hemodynamic monitoring.
Required Qualifications
- Current ARRT registration
- Current Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist (RLT) license
- Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology Program
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of post-technical-school radiology experience OR 2 years of Special Procedures Technologist experience
- Successful completion of required on-the-job training within 6 months of hire OR 6 months of recent Special Procedures Technologist experience within the past 2 years
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Successful completion of the CCHC Basic Arrhythmia Exam
- IABP experience/knowledge
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to work with ionizing radiation and use a lead apron
Preferred Qualifications
- Cath Lab experience with IR experience
Responsibilities
- Assist with invasive cardiovascular and interventional procedures, including scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and recording hemodynamic parameters
- Operate radiologic and interventional equipment safely
- Acquire, process, and transfer images to PACS
- Prepare, position, transfer, and assist patients during procedures
- Assist with room, table, and sterile-tray setup and turnover
- Assist physicians, vascular surgeons, and interventional radiologists
- Assist with administration of contrast media for arterial, venous, and percutaneous procedures
- Apply radiation-safety principles and minimize exposure
- Document supplies, implants, and required regulatory information
- Perform equipment safety checks and report malfunctions
- Maintain and clean interventional equipment
- Assist with department inventory
- Provide patient education and support
- Maintain knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, supplies, and equipment
- Participate in training, competency programs, and Quality/Process Improvement initiatives
- Maintain required certifications and clinical competencies
- Provide professional service to patients, families, visitors, and coworkers
Special Requirements
- On-call availability required for nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must maintain required ARRT registration and Massachusetts RLT license
- Must maintain BLS and ACLS certifications
- Must successfully complete the CCHC Basic Arrhythmia Exam
- IABP knowledge/experience required
