Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA)
Fall River, MA Area
Full-Time | Inpatient Cardiology | 3x10 Schedule | Full Benefits
A well-established physician-owned healthcare organization is seeking a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its inpatient cardiology team at a respected hospital in southeastern Massachusetts.
This is an excellent opportunity for an APP interested in hospital-based cardiology with strong physician support, excellent work-life balance, and long-term career growth.
The provider will work alongside board-certified cardiologists caring for inpatient cardiac consults and follow-up patients in a collaborative team environment.
Position Highlights
•Full-time inpatient cardiology position
•3 weekday shifts per week (10-hour shifts)
•Rotating weekend coverage approximately every 4th weekend
•No STEMI call responsibilities
•No cath lab scrubbing required
•Consult-focused role (no admissions/discharges)
•Strong onboarding and cardiology training available
•Excellent support from cardiologists and experienced APP team
•New graduates with relevant experience encouraged to apply
Compensation & Benefits
•$135,000 annual base salary
•Full benefits package
•150 hours PTO annually
•$2,000 CME allowance
•Malpractice coverage including tail

Responsibilities
•Evaluate inpatient cardiology consults
•Provide follow-up care for hospitalized cardiac patients
•Manage pre- and post-procedure cardiac patients
•Coordinate care with hospitalists and primary care teams
•Supervise stress testing after training
•Document within Epic and outpatient EMR systems
Candidate Requirements
•Licensed NP or PA
•Massachusetts license preferred (licensing assistance timeline considered)
•DEA and Massachusetts controlled substance registration required
•Cardiology experience preferred
•ICU, ER, Hospitalist, Acute Care, or Primary Care APP backgrounds considered
•New grads with strong cardiology RN or inpatient experience encouraged to apply
•Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Experience
•Inpatient cardiology exposure
•Familiarity with cardiac medications and procedures
•Experience caring for medically complex patients
•Epic or EMR experience preferred but not required
Training & Support
•Comprehensive onboarding provided
•Flexible training period based on experience level
•Epic training included
•Mentorship available for providers transitioning into cardiology
Schedule
•Three 10-hour weekday shifts
•Weekend rotation every 4th weekend
•In-person weekend coverage
•Collaborative physician supervision available at all times
