\n Position: Travel Ultrasound Technologist / Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

\n Job Overview
\n We are seeking an experienced Travel Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in a hospital or imaging setting. The Ultrasound Tech will operate ultrasound equipment, obtain high-quality diagnostic images, provide compassionate patient care, and work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
\n Responsibilities
\n Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and facility protocols.
\n Review patient history and confirm the appropriate examination before beginning the procedure.
\n Explain procedures to patients and answer questions to ensure comfort and cooperation.
\n Position patients appropriately and operate ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
\n Perform measurements and document relevant findings according to department protocols.
\n Recognize abnormal imaging findings and communicate appropriately with the interpreting physician.
\n Maintain accurate patient records and examination documentation.
\n Perform routine equipment quality checks and report equipment issues.
\n Follow infection-control and patient-safety procedures.
\n Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
\n Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
\n Provide care to patients ranging from routine outpatient examinations to hospital and emergency cases.
\n Common Ultrasound Examinations
\n Depending on the facility, the technologist may perform:
\n Abdominal ultrasound
\n Pelvic ultrasound
\n OB/GYN ultrasound
\n Vascular/Doppler studies
\n Breast ultrasound
\n Thyroid ultrasound
\n Renal and bladder studies
\n Small-parts ultrasound
\n Testicular/scrotal ultrasound
\n Venous and arterial studies
\n Emergency/portable ultrasound examinations
\n Requirements
\n Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
\n ARDMS certification or appropriate credentialing required by the facility.
\n Active state license or certification where required.
\n BLS certification may be required.
\n Recent clinical ultrasound experience.
\n Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, ultrasound physics, and scanning techniques.
\n Ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
\n Excellent communication and patient-care skills.
\n Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
