Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary learners as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year! This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to join a dedicated team, providing crucial support for students with diverse learning needs. Located near Windsor, VT, the role begins October 19, 2026, and continues through June 14, 2027, with a 35-hour work week. Now accepting part-time virtual applicants.
As part of a close-knit group of four teachers, you’ll work collaboratively to help students facing challenges with reading, writing, math, and high-functioning Autism spectrum disorders in a specialized learning environment. PT/OT professionals are also available in the classroom, offering additional support for your students’ success.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Professional Vermont Teaching License, including:
- Special Educator Endorsement
- Special Education Consulting Teacher Endorsement
- Intensive Special Education Teacher Endorsement
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings, particularly those with learning disabilities and Autism spectrum characteristics
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Fingerprinting required (district will accept approved documentation from recent school assignment in Vermont)
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
