As a key member of the school’s support team, your expertise will help students achieve their physical therapy goals in a setting focused on the needs of deaf students. With a small caseload and autonomy in your scheduling, this role offers both focus and flexibility.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Licensed Physical Therapist with experience in school-based or pediatric settings
- Comfortable working in a school for deaf students and collaborating with diverse learner populations
- Ability to build rapport and adapt therapeutic interventions for individual student success
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing onsite physical therapy sessions to a caseload of three students (no virtual services)
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized therapy plans to support student progress
- Collaborating with educational staff and families to promote consistency and communication
- Maintaining accurate documentation and participating in meetings as needed
- Flexibility to select two days per week to provide services (roughly 1.5 hours each day, days/times are your choice)
- Serving as a resource on physical development and accessibility within the school community
