Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of L&D experience and an active MA RN license.
Details\n
- \n
- 15-bed Labor and Delivery unit with inpatient rooming, keeping infants with mothers
- Newborn nursery available for infants requiring specialized care
- Cares for neonates and adult patients
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
- Every other weekend coverage required
- Uses Omnicell medication system
- Utilizes SBAR communication method
- No charge nurse responsibilities required

Requirements\n
- \n
- Active MA RN license required, must be in hand prior to start
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Beginner
- Certifications preferred: AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
- Cerner charting experience preferred but not required
- Skilled in labor and delivery management including fetal monitoring, IV therapy, and postpartum care
- Experience with high-risk conditions such as postpartum hemorrhage, pregnancy induced hypertension, and neonatal abstinence syndrome preferred

Additional Information\n

- Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum stages
- Support newborn care including APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, and newborn assessments
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-section recovery, and pain management including epidural and general anesthesia support
- Perform fetal monitoring including external and internal methods and IUPC placement
- First-time travelers will be considered pending experience screening
- Previous employees must wait one year before returning as a traveler
