Enthusiastic and compassionate professionals are needed to support middle and high school students in a dynamic, collaborative environment near Portsmouth, NH. Multiple paraprofessional roles are available, ranging from 1:1 student support to classroom-based assistance for the 2026-2027 academic year. These contract opportunities allow you to build meaningful connections with students and work closely with educators to foster a positive learning atmosphere.

Preferred candidates will bring a background in school environments, though no additional certifications or higher education credentials are necessary. Applicants must provide documentation of a high school diploma.

What you bring:

Proven ability to support students’ academic and behavioral goals under the direction of certified teachers
Experience in school settings is preferred but a passion for helping students and a cooperative attitude is key
Patience, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to follow schedules and directives reliably
High school diploma (or equivalent) is required
Willingness to provide three completed references upfront, including your most recent manager, prior to interviewing

Role Highlights:

Support student learning in 1:1 or classroom roles as assigned
Encourage independence, socialization, and inclusion among students
Assist with transitions, organization, and behavioral management under teacher guidance
Monitor students’ progress and communicate observations to teaching staff as needed
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Enjoy consistent weekday hours: Middle school shifts run from 7:10am to 2:10pm; high school shifts are from 7:30am to 2:30pm, both include a 30-minute unpaid lunch. The assignment runs from September 1, 2026, to June 16, 2027.
