Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A leadership role is available for a licensed Pharmacist in Charge to oversee pharmacy operations in Brockton, MA. This contract-to-hire position offers the opportunity to manage a dynamic pharmacy team and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards while delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
  • Manage daily pharmacy operations, including prescription dispensing, counseling, and patient services.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records for prescriptions, inventory, and controlled substances.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures supporting safe and efficient pharmacy practices.
  • Lead and support pharmacy staffincluding pharmacists and techniciansby providing training and performance feedback.
  • Oversee inventory management, balancing adequate stock levels with minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance entities, and stakeholders to resolve medication-related issues.
  • Address customer inquiries and complaints, guaranteeing excellent service and timely resolutions.
  • Keep current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging medications to sustain compliance.
  • Participate in quality improvement programs to enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment consistent with infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Active, clear MA Pharmacist license.
  • 24+ years of experience in long-term care pharmacy.
  • Proven recent leadership or management experience, preferably within long-term care settings.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Schedule:

  • Primarily Monday through Friday, day shifts.
  • Evening and weekend coverage as needed.
