Job DescriptionJob Overview: Pay Range: $21hr - $24hr
- The Network Technician is responsible for providing technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.
- This role includes device deployment, software installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure reliable IT operations.
- The candidate will deliver high-quality customer service while supporting users and maintaining system performance.
Requirement/Must Have:
- Strong commitment to providing superior customer service.
- Minimum one year of experience in a desktop support role.
- Hands-on experience with installation, repair, and troubleshooting of personal computers.
Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience in desktop support or customer service role.
Responsibilities:
- Provide break/fix technical support for networked and standalone computing equipment.
- Install, configure, and deploy computers and network devices.
- Perform software installation and test network connectivity.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and perform repairs.
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate records in service management systems.
- Prioritize and triage issues, escalating unresolved problems as needed.
- Support large hardware deployments, system moves, and operating system rollouts.
- Perform preventative maintenance including re-imaging systems, data backup and restoration, and hardware replacement.
- Provide advanced support to service desk staff.
- Maintain shift turnover reports and participate in on-call rotations.
- Follow organizational values, standards, and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems and common software applications.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts including routers, hubs, and cabling.
- Familiarity with information security tools and practices.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and requirements.
Qualification And Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certifications are a plus.
Should Have:
- Experience with service management or ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of Office 365 and common enterprise applications.
