The assignment covers the full academic year, spanning from late August to mid-June, with a consistent weekly schedule.
Your impactful work will include:
- Delivering assessment, consultation, and direct OT services to students in grades K-12.
- Collaborating with educators, staff, and parents to develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
- Traveling between four district buildings to ensure students’ needs are addressed equitably.
- Documenting progress, maintaining accurate records, and participating in IEP meetings to support student goals.
- Providing training or resources to school staff on strategies that promote classroom participation and student independence.
Qualifications:
- Current Vermont OT Certification (required).
- Previous experience as an Occupational Therapist within a school setting is strongly desired.
- Proficiency in planning and implementing individualized and group interventions for diverse student populations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families.
- Organizational ability to manage responsibilities across multiple school sites.
